The best toddler ride-on attachment ever !
The Swiss Strolli Rider is, without doubt, one of the best things that I have ever bought online (and lets face it, given the vast amount I buy online, it has some seriously stiff competition!). This clever piece of engineering attaches to your pram or stroller and provides your toddler with a stable, comfortable and fun place to ride with you and your baby. The thing that sets it apart for me is the fact that the way it attaches to the stroller means that it is totally to one side and does not get in the way of whoever is pushing the pram. I tried out some board type attachments in various shops and each one got completely in the way of my stride….battered and bruised ankles do not a happy mammy make !
Mr Moo, who is two and a half, really loves riding on this and lots of his friends have begged to have a go too. I bought this as a last resort before buying a double pram (which would have brought the total number of prams that we own to 3, even for a shopoholic that’s too many) and I am so pleased with it that I haven’t even looked once at double prams since we got it.
Is there anything bad to say about it? Well, its only stable if its attached correctly. Mr Moo landed on his cute little behind once when I hadn’t tightened it properly but this has not happened again. You also need to take care when going up onto footpaths which don’t have ramps (getting down off such paths does not appear to be a problem) but I find that if I just hold on to the handle at the back of the saddle we can make the maneouvre without any loss of balance.
The only other thing I would say about this is that it is not for you shrinking violets out there. This thing attracts a lot (and I mean A LOT) of attention. So far, we haven’t been out of the house once with it without being stopped to talk about it and everywhere we go, people are pointing and proclaiming that it is the most clever thing they have ever seen. Mr Moo loves it, he thinks people are pointing and smiling at him so he’s delighted with the attention. Just hold your head up and smile I say, this thing rocks and is worth all the curiosity it attracts!
